Monday, 23 November 2009 00:00

Taiwan-based Unitech Printed Circuit Board is running at full capacity for crystalline silicon solar cells, which currently generate monthly revenues of over NT$100 million (US$3.1 million), according to the company.

Unitech, a PCB maker who has diversified into the photovoltaic (PV) sector, has received solar cell orders that will keep shipment delivery running till the end of 2009, the company said, adding it is already in talks with clients for orders for first-quarter of 2010.

Unitech currently has a solar cell capacity of 30MWp. But expansion will begin in first-quarter 2010 to bring total capacity to 50MWp, with the new production lines coming on line in June 2010, the company noted.
