Eagle Technologies Ltd (“Eagle”) today confirms the appointment of CMS Cameron McKenna (“CMS”) in their bid to overturn a patent held by Datacard Group (“Datacard”).
Spokes person for Eagle, Tina Doo FCCA said ‘We are very excited to be working with one of the best IP firms in Europe, CMS Cameron McKenna have an impressive track record and an international presence which makes them the ideal partner for Eagle’
Nick Beckett, IP Partner for CMS Cameron McKenna said “We’re delighted to be chosen to represent Eagle in this matter and look forward to helping them overturn the patent”.
Eagle have caused quite a stir in the market with their high quality range of plastic card printer consumables, including Plus-Ribbon ™, which are compatible with Datacard, Zebra, Magicard, Fargo, Javelin, Polaroid & EdiSecure desktop card printers. Also available are Plus-Clean™ cleaning kits and Plus-Card ™ plastic cards which are produced in Eagle’s manufacturing facility in the USA.
Eagle Technologies Ltd is a leading international distributor of Plastic Card printers and related products, and is celebrating their 10th anniversary this year. Chris Rayner, Managing Director says ‘Our decision to provide our customers with a high quality, low cost alternative ribbon has not been taken lightly, we realised the manufacturers were going to do everything they can to defend their position, in our opinion their actions endorse the quality and reliability of Plus-Ribbon, after all if quality was poor they would allow the brand to die on its own’
