At AIIM 2010, Kodak will help partners, resellers and customers learn how the latest document imaging technology can automate work processes and improve overall efficiency. Kodak will provide attendees with insights on key issues related to paper documents and records, such as ROI, profitability and information security. Demonstrations of KODAK Scanners and KODAK Capture Pro Software, v2.5 are available during the AIIM Expo + Conference at booth #2312 in Philadelphia from April 20-22.
“A digitally-powered workplace is the new standard of competitiveness and collaboration,” said Tony Barbeau, General Manager, Document Imaging, Business Solutions and Services Group, Eastman Kodak Company. “We’re creating innovative ways for customers to use document capture technology to strengthen their entire business. Our comprehensive document capture platform enables users to improve customer communications, cut costs and heighten end-user productivity.”
Kodak’s comprehensive suite of hardware, software and services provide customers with an entire document capture platform built on simplicity, scalability and standardization. Products being demonstrated at AIIM include the KODAK i4600 Scanner, KODAK NGENUITY Scanner, and the KODAK TRUPER Scanner—all connected to KODAK Capture Pro Software, v2.5. Attendees can also try the recently updated KODAK s1220 Photo Scanning System.
Visitors to the booth will view how automatic features deliver optimized image quality directly from the initial point of capture. For example, Kodak’s Perfect Page Image Processing Technology and other image enhancement tools provide immediate improvements to image quality by detecting page characteristics, including orientation and color. Easy-to-use features, such as Kodak’s Smart Touch feature and front panel operations, reduce manual steps and accelerate user access to digitized files. Scanners in the Kodak booth offer competitive speeds of up to 150 pages per minute.
KODAK Capture Pro Software, v2.5 incorporates numerous features designed to help businesses adapt to existing and future workflow needs. Capture Pro Software helps users index, process and output files efficiently and affordably. Attendees will also see the recently released KODAK Capture Pro Software, Auto Import Edition. This new offering provides image import capabilities for multi-function peripherals and other distributed sources without a connected document scanner.
Offering an unlimited scan volume as well as advanced and extended features without additional cost, Capture Pro Software also includes out-of-the-box job setups to easily integrate performance document scanning into existing workflows. Support for MICR and searchable PDF and PDF/A output provide users with added functionality and document security.
The KODAK s1220 Photo Scanning System, designed for service, retail and enterprise organizations, uses functions found on traditional document scanners to capture and process images from photo prints. Automated tools reduce image errors and improve the overall quality of scanned images. The solution also helps retailers and service providers quickly achieve ROI from the use of a photo scanning device as an added customer service and revenue stream.
“Kodak works with channel partners and resellers to establish new areas for document imaging to impact critical business capabilities,” said Russell Hunt, Regional Business Manager, United States and Canada, Document Imaging, Business Solutions and Services Group, Eastman Kodak Company. “A comprehensive document imaging strategy can contribute to the growth and long-term success of any organization.”
