Optimized for all network and deployment options
Synology®Inc. today announced the beta availability of Surveillance Station 6.3. This advancement brings surveillance performance, simplicity and reliability through extended supports for versatile deployment scenarios. Surveillance Station 6.3 Beta features:
Robust and highly reliable monitoring: Designed for all-round protections, Surveillance Station 6.3 now supports edge recording, which guarantees uninterrupted recording in the event of network downtime. For on-the-move surveillance including off-site train/buses and aviation, the stored recordings will be automatically merged the moment when network connection restored.
Optimum viewing experience: Surveillance Station 6.3 now allows users to live view and playback up to 64 channels in 720p concurrently on a single interface; a TV wall is made much more powerful and flexible. Furthermore, Surveillance Station can now stream live feeds to mobile devices with the automated adjustment of frame rates and resolutions, allowing for a smooth and smart monitoring on-the-go.
Seamless cross-browser operation: Synology Surveillance Web plug-in, designed to replace Java for performance enhancement, now expands support for Safari on Mac in addition to Internet Explorer, Chrome and Firefox. It provides significant performance boost up to 6 times.
Streamlined navigation and management: For high-end security installations encompassing great amounts of cameras, Synology’s support toward joysticks could significantly increase productivity. On the other hand, the enriched on-screen options, including camera edit, instant playback for live-view further streamline workflow and achieve greater efficiency. In addition, the privilege management is more nuanced with ‘Manager’ and ‘Spectator.’
Cost-effective, high ROI deployment: Surveillance Station now provides native support for multi-lens and in-camera panorama camera dewarping. The resulting panoramic view can generate several unique HD perspectives simultaneously to cover the monitoring area without additional camera acquisitions, greatly reducing total cost of ownership. In addition, Surveillance Station 6.3 by default is preinstalled with 2 free camera license, allowing users to activate more cameras on the monitoring service.
